I woke with the birds again on Sunday May 12th. I was on the road just after 7am headed for Chester where I would meet up with my cousin Jason and then drive to West Kirby to meet my uncle and cousins Chris and Jill.

I’d forgotten how nice the Cheshire country lanes were. Since it was early Sunday morning, I saw very few cars. I passed the medieval Beeston Castle an English Heritage site and arrived in Chester on a canal path.

I arrived in Chester, a city I have visited many times since it’s a short drive or train ride from Liverpool. I was starving having had no breakfast before I left the campsite in Nantwich. I took a few photos including one of the Eastgate Clock built above the original Roman walls and then found a cafe and ordered tea and toast while I waited for Jason.

Jason picked me up in his van and we headed to West Kirby for lunch with the family

It was nice to see the Minett side of my family again 🥰

Can I just add that despite what cameras always say I’m not that miserable on the inside 🤣

WOW, and I thought my family had a strong family resemblance! That’s an amazing Minett family picture.

Awesome pics, Christine! So, we’ve found out that cows and sheep are always curious about cyclists. Yes.
